Design Approach
“My mind, once filled with dreams of beauty, is a furnace of revenge!”
Universal Robots is a play that takes the ideas of R.U.R and brings the playwright, Karl Capek, directly into the action. Our design wanted to make this world feel both industrial and sparse: free of any human warmth or organic material. The result is a world that feels a little bit brutalist and very hostile to the fostering of human warmth and creativity.
