Design Approach
“Supposing all these planks and ropes are now the British Empire…"
Our production of Peter and the Starcatcher embraces the spirit of childlike creativity paired alongside adult know-how, eventually creating a world where everyday objects are transformed through inventive storytelling. Rather than depicting each location literally, the scenic design uses familiar materials and found objects in unexpected ways, inviting the actors and audience to imagine ships, islands, oceans, and faraway places together. The result is a playful, flexible environment where the ordinary becomes extraordinary and the magic comes from the act of storytelling itself.
